Alternative Therapies in Tackling Cancer

With all the new advancements being made in medicine, cancer
patients can look forward to a complete recovery.
Chemotherapy and radiation however can be a harrowing
experience. Can they be done away with in favor of less
invasive treatments?
This is not to suggest that radiation and chemotherapy are
in question themselves. In fact many patients respond
favorably to both treatments. In any case, this is a matter
of personal choice -- one that is between a patient and
doctor and best dealt with in the privacy of a
doctor's'soffice.
But there are reports of additional therapies that appear to
help conventional cancer treatment methods. Some patients
have reported success while relying solely on these
therapies.
Organic diet
Science has been looking deeply into the role diet plays in
non-cancerous treatments. It's not unreasonable to assume
that a healthy diet aids in cancer treatments, though the
evidence points out that the wrong dietary intakes worsens
the condition.
Nevertheless, there are reports of success from patients on
organic or low processed food diets. They maintain that
eliminating unnatural elements from the diet help in
restoring the body's'sbalance to the extent that it prevents
cancer cells from attacking their bodies.
And while scientific studies cannot agree on the evidence,
it seems that in addition to vegetables and fruit, green tea
can also fight cancer. There are accounts of patients whose
cancerous tumor receded. There is more than just hope, it
seems, with the recommended three cups of green tea a day.
Exercising and Relaxation
Staying relaxed and easy helps, people say, but yoga and any
form of meditation make their bodies feel healthy enough to
tackle the cancer.
This could well come from the release of stress, which is
why it often complements conventional treatments. But other
theories suggest that meditation and yoga promote
positivism, with naturally positive outcomes.
Actually, just the physical act of using otherwise tired
muscles spurs them into re-generation. It promotes
circulation, which relieves tension built up from the
realization of diagnosis and the every-day adjustments that
sometimes come thereafter.
Cancer isn't impossible to beat, nor should the patient
think that it will even be a terrible experience. If
you're facing cancer, why not look into some alternative
therapies to help ease you along the path to health?
You can't do enough for yourself when you have cancer.
